Community Focal Point
The E'Co centres which we plan to base in
every major city (worldwide) will be more than just a trade base. The principal
behind the E'Co Web is each centre will be a place for the entire community to
provide input and gather as a whole to do something worthwhile for the
environment. Here at the E'Co Perth Centre construction
is currently underway for an additional building to specifically be an E'Co
Convention / Motivational Centre. This building will be a permanent home for
local Businesses, Shires and Corporations alike: The World is such a small place
after all. Remember we hope to have one of these centres attached to every E'Co
World Centre in every major city World-Wide within 15 years.
The amount of benefits drawn from these
centres are ongoing and endless and will affect the entire population. To get an idea of what is already
planned take a look at the
initiatives discussed below.
Initiatives
As part of our continued
input into society and to obtain much needed coverage and support, E'Co has
planned a series of initiatives for the local community (to later
become permanent events showcased at every E'Co centre around the World):-
E'Co
Mart
E'Co
Mart is an online initiative to promote the sale and purchase of used goods in
an environmentally friendly manner. With this online resource comes the
benefits of: saved paper through the use of the internet, reduced pollutants
as a result of less travelling around, ease of use through advanced search
engines and database capabilities and big savings on the cost of advertising.
At the moment E'Co Mart is purely a Perth resource to emphasis the local
aspect, but it is planned to be a part of every E'Co centre as a local
resource in every major city. Click on the logo to check it out.
Anti
Graffiti Days
Once
a month here at E'Co Perth we will hold anti graffiti days. There will be prizes
for the best pieces painted on the artificial walls during the day. This is to
highlight the true art of the spray can and the unrewarded talent that a lot of
youths hold. Special prizes for paintings that depict what the future holds or
include the E'Co logo.
Invention
Days
A day
for all budding inventors to showcase their skill with recycled goods. Prizes
for the best inventions made from waste or recycled materials and prizes for the
best recycling idea put forward.
Tech
Days
A day
for all tech enthusiasts to bring in their old equipment (computers etc) and
swap, mix n match, pull apart, create, and basically go crazy over the surplus
of pooled electrical goods.
Shires
We plan to utilize our E'Co
centre(s) to
their full potential by getting everyone in on the E'Co message. There's no
point having a whole community behind E'Co when the only people capable of
taking action are the decision makers of local governments and shires.
Therefore we plan to incorporate them into the E'Co picture, take to them the
community's ideas and work in conjunction to turn talk into action. Such things
already planned are monthly meetings examining Environmental and Recycling
Objectives, assessments and performances. We want to stop each shire reinventing
the wheel and all of them to pull in one direction. The big picture? - Global
meetings along with splinter groups reporting to a central base.
