The Past

E'Co (short for Environmentally Concerned Organisation) was established in Perth, Western Australia in 1995, born from dynamic management with over 15 years experience in the environmental and recycling sectors. The company was created on the ideal of "we all need a global solution" (nobody wants to retire in fifteen years time and have to wear a face mask and factor 120). E'Co needed, initially, to build  a solid trading platform to quantify its claims that "in order to obtain a global solution, we need a global network of E'Co centres all financially viable, therefore, sustainable". Through focused trading and practical leadership E'Co has quickly built up a solid trading name locally and throughout Africa as well as parts of South-East Asia and the Middle East. The "foundation" has been laid...

The Present

Another E'Co objective is to set up factories in Africa and employ African people to process, manufacture or recycle environmentally friendly products. Again, the key to sustainability is profit. With focus on this key factor, some African people will come away from the charity they presently rely on. E'Co is proud to announce that it, without any third party investment, has already established seven E'Co World Centres: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Benin, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea and Perth. Although some are still in the early stages, E'Co has the philosophy of "showing what can be done" rather than the traditional attitude/approach "this is what we think we can do". E'Co are "Visionaries" and practical "Leaders".

The Future

There is so much going on at E'Co. However, strict management controls keep E'Co on track. Ask yourself, with everyday news coverage of: deforestation, acid rain, melting ice caps, global warming, depleting ozone layers, landfill, toxic waste, plus you paying money into Retirement / Super funds, do you seriously think there will be an environment left when you or your children come to retire? Because you breathe comfortably today, are you taking it for granted you will tomorrow? You may be the most environmentally friendly person in the world, but who is stopping the millions of tires being burnt in Nigeria? Unfortunately, the negative impact is far outpacing even the equilibrium. In general, politicians look for votes, large corporations look for bottom line profits. Problems, Problems, we all know the problems, so what and where is the "Global Solution"...?
